US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is planning to eliminate the psychoactive cannabis from the list of substances is strictly prohibited. Coordinator of DEA personnel Russ Baer informed the media that the Office has not yet set a date hemp delisting of banned substances in the United States.

 

During the conversation with reporters, Mr. Baer said that the DEA has taken an "extremely difficult" decision to change the status of cannabis to "drug" to "regulated medication." The main difficulty of the experts was the fact that the psychoactive cannabis contains a very large number of compounds with proven medicinal effects, whereas THC can induce psychoactive gallyutsionatsii. "Because of the complex chemical structure of the plant, as well as in view of the many forms of violence, the US DEA has decided not to exclude from the list of individual components of the psychoactive cannabis such as cannabidiol and just make the whole plant in the medical category," Mr. Baer said.

 

Analysts said the US hemp industry, through a not very long period of time the government can partially legalize the use of the entire territory of psychoactive cannabis for medical purposes. Thus, the country will open up new possibilities for the medical use of psychoactive cannabis, as well as the study of the properties of plants for scientific purposes.
