In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the possible subsequent supply of therapeutic Uruguayan flowers of technical hemp, the volume of which is comparable to the previous transactions of Canadian and Dutch enterprises specializing in the sale of legal psychoactive cannabis, which is actively used for medical purposes in the EU countries. 

On the pages of the specialized electronic edition of Ukrainian cannabis growers, attention was previously focused on the fact that “ In Uruguay, cannabisa producers are re-profiling to cultivate technical hemp". Hemp Investment Prospects emphasized that there is already a clear need for non-psychoactive varieties with significant therapeutic properties in the export flower market. The experts of the information and analytical platform Hemp Consulting suggested that the export of flowers and biomass will be carried out to other countries for the extraction of primarily drug-free cannabinoids there. As a rule, such contracts will be carried out in countries with a high cost of growing agricultural products and a high level of development of the pharmaceutical industry (Switzerland or Germany). How effectively the above trend is being implemented by Uruguayan cannabis growers is described in this article.

A Uruguayan cannabis grower has successfully shipped about half a ton of hemp flowers with significant therapeutic potential and low tetrahydrocannabinoyl (THC) content to Switzerland. The fulfillment of this contract is the first large commercial supply of therapeutic hemp flowers to Europe from the countries of the Latin American region. 

According to official customs information, on July 17, 442 kg of "green mass" of a hemp plant with a low THC content were sent. The total contract amount is $ 81,668, or about $ 185 per kilogram.

The delivery was carried out to Switzerland via Germany and according to the data of the officials of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay, the hemp raw materials have already been received by the Swiss participant in this transaction. According to the co-founder and chief executive officer of the Uruguayan supplying company, the staff of the Uruguayan embassies in Switzerland and also Germany have done everything in their power to expedite the execution of the above contract in the interests of the Swiss importer.

After the first successful shipment to Switzerland, on July 22, the Uruguayan company sent another 82 kilograms of leaves and inflorescences of therapeutic hemp to one of the economically developed countries of Europe. As part of the above transaction, the total amount of $ 19,660 is indicated, which means that, on average, one kilogram of "green mass" of therapeutic hemp is estimated at $ 240.

According to the aforementioned employee of a Uruguayan company that produces leaves and inflorescences of technical hemp for therapeutic purposes, his company's order book contains contracts for the supply of about 14 tons of green mass of hemp plant (10 tons of its own production and 4 tons of a dozen small agricultural producers in Uruguay).
